2b) DOES YOUR DELIVERY TEAM ALMOST ALWAYS HAVE THE REQUIRED INPUTS TO SERVE CUSTOMERS ON-TIME?
Could include raw materials, bought-out parts, consumables, electricity/water, exact order specifications, labor, etc.
This question can be articulated more precisely based upon your environment:
If in doubt ASK YOUR OPERATIONS IN-CHARGE OR PLANNING HEAD ... if STILL in doubt the answer is NO!
- Purchase-to-Order: Are all inputs available one lead-time before the committed due date at least 95% of the time?
- Purchase-to-Stock: Are all inputs in stock at least 95% of the time?
- Distributor: Are there 5% or less stock-outs among running items?
- Restaurant: Are all ingredients available (and fresh) at least 95% of the times when a customer places an order?
